Except for his chosen profession it was a hoot. Toll Booth Collector? Talk about stereotyping! I went to a workshop where the speaker referred to the "poor toll booth collector" as though this creature (think cretin) was some kind of unfortunate who could never find employment elsewhere. Humble apologies to all concerned, but the toll takers I know are smart, interesting, funny, and just like me - a librarian with a second job. Plus, the pay is not bad. "long live RinkWorks!" I don't get this one at all. I don't say anything ABOUT toll collectors, merely that Snook is one. Talk about reading into things. |
