I'm not silverfox, but I hope you don't mind my two cents. :)
Hopefully, you've talked to the gwuils, asked Garandel about them, and thought over the problem THOROUGHLY. If not, do it.
If so, perhaps you need to see a man about a sword... or in this case, a fake Metamorph Ring.
As for the shack, you need to pry something from inside the shack - the hammer is ideal to do so. (You'd usually use it to pound said item in, but this time you need to pry one OUT.) ;)
