609. where bad movies startedTo: <dave@rinkworks.com>, <sam@rinkworks.com> Subject: SERIOUSLY Date: Mon, 25 Jan 2010 06:53:40 -0600 Ok Seriously if your going to do a bad movie review you should go all the way back to the forties honesty that's where it starts Movies Such as Who Killed Doc Robbinson Santa Defeats the Martians The Original Blob The Atomic Brain DUDE frickin - ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES Seriously get it together Well, one of those movies is from the 40s. The others date from 1958-1978. As of this writing, It's a Bad Bad Bad Bad Movie has eight reviews from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Admittedly none from the 40s, but as I explained in a reply too boring to reprint here, the thing about the 80s is that the makers of B-movies stopped being self-conscious about what they were making and started taking their work seriously. That attitude is so much riper for ridicule. |
