MR: question about WC

I seem to be unable to find the relevant information, so I'm wondering if there is a limit to Weapons Class, just as there is to Armor Class. One of my characters currently has a WC of 50 (the assassin, of course), and is frequently inflicting over 2000 points of damage on individual monsters. Since this game is my quest for items of extra-specialness (one hard-to-find item of druidity left to go), I would like to know how much more of an increase in WC I should expect to see, assuming that my party will be operating out of Teralt for a while yet.
On a somewhat related note, I just found the elusive other item for the assassin. So I quickly got him equipped with said item. Then about five minutes later a character found the exact same thing. Up until then, this had been the rarest item in my games.
