This is the part where I don't quite understand what you're saying, and if I am understanding correctly, then you are quite grasping how you need to solve the problem. Can you give me some more detail on what you mean by "a combination of alternate N, S, inner and outer"? Maybe tell me what your links are set at for 1E, 2E, 1W, and 2W, and remind me whether you travel north or south to get from 1E to 2E. If you can tell me all of this, I can probably make another diagram to show you what is going wrong with your solution.
