Other thoughts:
Well, except for the food. But the food is prepaid and always
available at a short walk away, so it has that "free" feeling which
elevates it from "tolerable" to "this-might-be-good."

The bell tower plays music off-tune after bonging twelve times at
noon. Weird.

I got put in the largest room in the dorms. This is also good.

It's been consistently over 100 degrees, with mindless evil super
humidity. It feels like a shower room with several furnaces inside.
There is no such thing as cold water, just "water not heated by
electricity, but still as hot as from the hot water tap."

Sales tax is DA EVAL.

When trying to figure out which church to attend, I found out that there
are hundreds of them in the area. Bible Belt indeed. The only
problem is that I'm expected to know the differences between
denominations.

The fitting rooms at Wal-Mart had wire mesh cages around them to
prevent theft. This is somehow not very reassuring.

And, there are too many fun&crazy events to name. I love it.
