New Jersey isn't as bad as everyone thinks, really. Well, South Jersey, anyhow. There's a REASON we're called the Garden State after all; we grow some of the best corn and tomatoes--perhaps among other things--in the US. Besides that, most of the region's suburban/rural without being too backwoods. It's rather nice here, and I'm quite happy with it.

North Jersey, on the other hand, I haven't seen much of, but from what I have seen, it's probably the over-industrialized slime pit that everyone seems to think of.
