Goosey: LOL! Ok, yes, that's absolutely a reference to the play. Groucho even mentions Eugene O'Neill, the author of the play, by name, in a joke about the way the characters speak their thoughts: "If I were Eugene O'Neill, I could tell you what I really think of you two." That joke flew over my head when I watched that movie last. I bet almost nobody gets it these days.
