William Powell and Myrna Loy made a great deal of films together. Most of them were great fun, and this series of comedy/mysteries adapted from Dashiell Hammett's novels, is no exception. The first entry in the series is a little more serious (and a little more dated) than the sequels, but is still a fine piece of entertainment, particularly for mystery fans.
