The Mummy's Ghost (1944)

Reviews and Comments

By The Mummy's Ghost, the gradual decline of the series at last fell below the point where it is entertaining. Even at a camp level, it's only just ok. The first half of the film no more sophisticated than a modern slasher film, with the mummy's trail of murder broken up by dreary incantations from a cult group and a cardboard hero and heroine professing love for one another. The second half picks things up just a bit, but it boils down to a resolution that is unusual but anticlimactic.
