Sleeping Beauty (1959)

Reviews and Comments

One of Disney's most time-honored works, this story of Sleeping Beauty is prime fodder for those who love a good fairy tale. The story is familiar to most of us; Disney's adaptation works well with its colorful caricatures (rounded characters don't belong in fairy tales), valiant heroics, and warmth of heart. The animation style was a pre-cursor to the hard-edged, vibrant style adopted by 101 Dalmatians.
