Reviews and Comments

"Don't go into the valley of the killer ape," our intrepid hero Jungle Jim warns a bunch of people capturing animals to sell to zoos and circles, "There's a killer ape in there!" "You just want all the animals for yourself!" the people retort. Thus begins the twelfth entry in the low budget Jungle Jim series, starring Johnny Weissmuller. Along the way, both Jim and the animal hunters run across a gang of criminals performing drug tests on jungle animals for nefarious purposes. The killer ape (scarcely an ape at all, just a man with a little fur glued to his face) is played by the 8'2" actor/wrestler Max Palmer, runs amok amidst the conflict. This episode is par for the course for the series and is unlikely to appeal to anyone other than kids and jungle film enthusiasts.
