Subject: Hahaha...and not quite right Date: Sun, 13 Feb 2011 01:19:39 -0800 (PST) Several parts of the exam made me chuckle. But I could answer yes to some of those questions and nothing is wrong with that. I've never even read The Lord of the Rings and Narnia....lame to me. I have read quite a bit of R.A. Salvatore though, and he could answer yes to a lot of those. You place all fantasy ideals into LOTR and Narnia, which is incredibly close minded. Human thought creates the wonderous and certain patterns do exist when story-telling. I use an entirely original story-line set in a fantasy world of my own devising based on certain standards that have been laid out by others before me. What's wrong with that? Ideas are only improved upon. My story is ****ing awesome. I've written things I've never seen in other books, wonderous things of my own slightly twisted imagination. I studied my brother's dungeon and dragons books. I didn't play D&D, but I learned the terminology because I was fascinated by their knowledge. I've also studied Greek mythology, surely not Tolkien's and Lewis's idea, right? I find many similarities there. The fact is, I got on here looking to publish a story that I have to tell, a world I live in in my mind. You see, once I started creating it, it just stuck there and I have to get it out. Obviously this isn't the place to do that. So I thank you for the laugh and I suggest you stay away from War of the Triumvirate: Savior's Exile. You wouldn't like it, though so many else will. I bid thee farewell, fair wastrels, Hahahahaha |
