579. some other smuckTo: sam@rinkworks.com Subject: (no subject) Date: Tue, 6 Jan 2009 21:07:09 -0500 I began reading your article on romance, I couldn't make it through the first paragraph. Only men need this guide? Get a ****ing clue, being romantic is the ability to make a woman feel not only happy with you, but to make her feel good about her body. The key to true romance is to make a woman feel that she could leave you at any moment and go pick up some other smuck without even batting an eyelash. That's how a romantic man should make a woman feel. Like she is on top of a huge pedestal while you sit on your thrown and watch intently. You see, the goal of romance is to make a woman feel calm and relaxed, while she anticipates what may happen later that night. Romantics are not just a way to sustain a healthy relationship, it is a form of seduction. That's what women consider romantic, so tell me, how can a woman be romantic with a man, what do they need to do to give us the feeling of being king of the world. Here's and idea, how about you get a womans opinion....it might help From: The Rink <sam@rinkworks.com> Subject: Re: (no subject) Date: Tue, 6 Jan 2009 22:35:03 -0500 > I began reading your article on romance, I couldn't make it through the > first paragraph. If you had, possibly it would have dawned on you that the entire thing is a joke. It's not meant as a serious guide to romance. It's a work of humor that works by accepting superficial romance cliches as profound truths. But even if it *had* been a serious guide to romance, it's presumptuous and insulting to review a work without actually having read it. If you haven't read something, you have no basis from which to criticize it. So why should an author care about what you have to say? Case in point. You thought this was a serious guide when in fact it was a humor column. Of course, some people read it all the way through and still don't get that. |
