The Swedish Chef code, while not PHP, does exist on the Internet somewhere as a free download. (Unlike, say, the Redneck dialect, which was entirely my own creation.) Still, it's interesting to me to hear from people who ask me for source code, because they obviously have no idea how much they're asking. If software is open source, it should be readily available. If it isn't, it's most likely a critical piece of intellectual property. You'd never get it for free, and if you were willing to pay money, it wouldn't be enough.
