Canterbury IslandTo: dave@rinkworks.com, sam@rinkworks.com Subject: Book-A-Minute: The Canterbury Tales Date: Sat, 02 Dec 2006, at 09:34:04 Hello, Just re-reading the back archives (again!) of Book A Minute and stumbled upon the Canterbury Tales as condensed by Brandon Sumner. Don't know if anyone's pointed it out before, or whether it's meant to be deliberate (I'm assuming so) but the rhythm of the words fits just about exactly with the theme song of Gilligan's Island! It's only through a bizarre set of coincidences that I realised it, but hey, it's still quite an interesting cute fact. (At least I think it is) It is. |
