418. A Comment About The Fantasy Novelist's ExamTo: <dave@rinkworks.com>, <sam@rinkworks.com>

Basically you just said that the only way to have an original fantasy novel is to not have any of the basic elements of fantasy stories in them. You act like someone who tried to write a fantasy novel following this formula and couldn't get published. Hey why not come out with a test for murder mysteries...you could say that if the main character is some sleuth who meets a beautiful woman and sleeps with her then takes a case of her murder rich husband then you shouldn't write it because it's not original. Grow up. People read a certain genre of book because they like the stuff involved with that genre. If you don't like it then don't read them and get over yourself. |
