Dave Parker: For the forthcoming 5th ed of my ANATOMY OF WONDER, the
standard critical guide to SF, I'm checking websites possibly worth
annotating. Yours is amusing but a bit too lightweight to qualify. I
have a couple of audio cassettes you'd enjoy. One, sent by a friend, is
titled "10 Classics in 10 Minutes," very funny 60 second summaries of
standard fiction like Melville, Fitzgerald, Gone With the Wind, etc. The
other, which runs 60 minutes, has heavy breathing readings with sax
accompaniment, of "the best parts of the worst books," so-called "adult"
paperbacks from the 40s-60s, immortal works like OUT FOR KICKS, STREETS
OF SIN, COMMIE SEX TRAP and VIRGIN IN BLUE JEANS. If you lust for copies
of these, send me a blank 90 minute cassette & a buck for postage and
I'll duplicate them. Best...
