Sinbad Comic

Join Sinbad and his merry men as they embark on a dubiously-conceived quest to foil a dubiously-conceived but probably evil plot by the evil vizier Jaffar! Sinbad Comic is a screen-cap comic based on the incredible, incomparable, and inexplicable 1989 Lou Ferrigno film, Sinbad of the Seven Seas.

Sinbad Comic is currently on hiatus but will eventually return for the fifth and final season.

I think Sinbad is developing an allergic reaction to all that baby oil.

Jaffar's wide eyes have been freaking me out.

I giggled at the last panel.

diana: Seen all but Eye of the Tiger. The acting and writing are pretty dry, but the Harryhausen creatures are truly great. I much prefer his awe-inspiring, nightmarish creatures to cold, sanitized CGI beasts.

Sam: I certainly will. And you should check out The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad, The Golden Voyage of Sinbad, and Sinbad: Eye of the Tiger.

diana: Yay! I'm glad I can brighten your Mondays. That was one of the reasons I picked Monday to update on. Fridays, for example, don't need brightening.

Post again once you've seen the movie and tell us what you thought. I can assure you you're in for a unique experience.

Two things: first, although i've seen three other Sinbad films (all gloriously dreadful), i have yet to check out this one. But i'm buying it on Amazon as soon as i get off work. Secondly, i have to thank Sam for giving me a reason to look forward to Mondays. I'm almost eager for the weekend to be over. Almost.

I can totally hear Lou Ferrigno's voice saying every one of these lines. Eerie.

Speaking of Sinbad's outfit, Goosey noticed something funny about it. He leaves the ship and apparently goes directly to the palace. But in the interim, for some reason he found an opportunity to change his all his clothes. Compare with strip #12.

Is it weird that Sinbad's outfit on this page is shockingly familiar to what I wear when I go see shows at the Fox?

It's always the ones you don't expect that turn evil.

Also, I have to say that "the calif's nappy time" makes Jaffar sound like the preschool teacher of all that is evil.

Poor Sinbad. He goes around discovering islands and fighting monsters and keeping his crew from drowning themselves all for the sake of Basra, and what does he get when he returns? Fear from the populace, evil plots from the vizier, and no respect at all. He's gonna snap when he runs out of monsters upon which to release his aggression.

And as we all know, it's a real good idea to tell the overgrown bicep about your evil plans while he's still free.
