ESM: Secret Area: (spoilers, want to know if it's possible)

My question is a simple one for people who have completed the spell. I'm assuming the clue refers to Turpentine, which refers to the blue paint. The only problem is I gave the blue paint back to the artist since I was getting tired of having the option to paint every object in my inventory blue, I figured it would simplify things a bit. Now it looks like I may need it and I don't see a way to get it back. Any help, or clarification of my options?
