Talk to everyone about how to develop film. You really need more time...

There's a hint in the library that tells you where methanoic acid can be found, and as for nitrochalk, the boys playing chess may know something about that.

They really need quieting down. What might lull them into being more docile?

You're on the right track here, but you need to progress in other areas first.
