1) If you have perfected your aim elsewhere, then it's not you
that has the problem. Your "grappling hook" so to speak is too
short. There are two ends you can tie to things, and you have
both the items that need to be attached to the chain.

2) Yes, the tree branches are useful. For making you fall out of
the tree. And holding the leaves on the tree. :)

3) There are two clues to the sharpening dilemma: a painting in
the art room and an excerpt about cogs in the library. Think
about where you can find two "cogs" on this campus. You can't
take either one - they're stuck in one area - but you have what
you need to LINK them together. And what you need to loosen
the resistance on one of them.

4) Actually, your marksmanship practice will help your aim
elsewhere - it's useless for a library distraction (I thought that
was it too). You only need one item for this, provided it's
unattached, to create a library distraction from the next room
over.

You know that magic trick where someone yanks a tablecloth off
a table without disturbing the dinnerware on it? You're not that
talented. Fortunately. ;)
