ESM- Artist quest?

I do not know what to do next. I think I need to do the artist quest, but I do not think I have the items necesssary. I have already talked to everyone, and I know how an artist should look, but I am not sure how to accomplish this "look". I have fed Mrs. A and finished with Mrs. L. I need one more item for the voodoo lady...the gold. I have the acid but don't know how to convert it, other than to use certain items found in a lab and a certain item used to make a drink. All I have figured out about going back in time is that leaves don't cut it. Please help me with any of these tasks. My inventory is as follows:
Blue paint
Bottle
Chain
Chalk
Demerit
Disk with essay
Disk with virus
Earthworm sample
eraser
fertilizer
glasses
gluestick
Grass
key
knock out drops
Lighter
mirror
mophead
scalpel
soldering iron
Wire
wrench

Help would be most appreciated.
