St. Mary's: Possible bug?

Maybe edging on spoilers, but pretty dang mild ones.

I'm slightly stuck on sharpening a certain thing. From all the discussion around here, there's supposed to be a clue in the books on the library master's desk. But there isn't. The wierd thing is, I remember having a clue about this on one of the random piles of text bites and filing it away, but not completely enough because I thought I could go see it later. But going through all the message boards and books doesn't get me anything related now.
