I have been going around the maze for two days now. I just can't figure out where I found the place to dig with the spade!! maybe I'm not supposed to do that yet?

my inventory:

acorns
lavendar
spade
glasses
pocket knife
tourist brochure
raffle ticket
bacon sandwich
feather
