Outlaws - (Final?) Fight - Spoilers Likely

I feel silly posting, but I've got this far and it seems a big anticlimax to have to give up.

I'm at the fight after the sword fight, in the balloon. I can get Castaño off me and knee him in the stomach, but the other options afterward don't do anything, other than getting up, which takes me right back to where I started. I'm really confused and if someone could nudge me in the right direction I'd be grateful.
