Outlaws: Stuck in Lynnville

I'm stuck in Lynnville after Hannibal threw a shoe. I thought the blacksmith gave him a new shoe (I certainly paid him for it), but Hannibal isn't back in my inventory. Is there something else I need to do? My inventory is:

30 Dollars
Altar Cloth
Key
Cabbage
Your Gun
Hat Pin
Playing Cards
Spittoon
Matches
