POA: stuck somewhere in the middle

So, I've completed the first two jobs, gave the gun to the boy, got the business card, put one of the rubber tubes in the ventilator shaft, found the cat and I'm stuck. I have no clue as to how I obtain my mine access card or the sedatives or the soda can. I've been talking to everyone over and over, all saying the same thing. I've searched the messages and have come up with squat. All I ask is for a couple of hints. Here's my inventory:
