Only a very small percentage of RinkWorks' readers actually participate in the message forum. Another small percentage read but don't post, but most don't enter the forum at all. The contest was announced on the main RinkWorks page, plus in a mailing list mailing, so the contest hit a much much larger audience than the usual RinkWorks message forum post does.
