Interesting that you chose that one. If you're looking for highly revered movies, why not pick Jean Renoir's "The Rules of the Game" (in French the title is "La Regle du jeu", so it works there too)? Kurosawa also springs to mind: "Rashomon" and "Ran."

And how could you ever forget Cecil Hepworth's epic 1905 "Rescued by Rover?" TWO Rs, and it's the most influential movie about a baby stolen by gypsies and rescued by a dog ever.
