I was about six when it aired here, and even then I was too creeped out by the gropings and innuendo of the repulsive elderly host to watch it. On the other hand, during roughly the same years, my whole family sat down to watch every episode of "Benny Hill" with no parental qualms.

Not only do I remember The Generation Game, but it's still being aired. It's now being hosted by Jim Davidson who was previously best know for being a second-rate racist comedian. I suspect that the host you're thinking was Larry Grayson.

However, the British version of Family Feud is Family Fortune, which was based on the American version. You can also track it down through the link provided.
