Well, you have to go through another portal, fight some monsters, talk to a certain guy, he teaches you about magic, then you take a big huge rock from your homeland to the next land (forgot the name) and do something with it to get a focus stone, and you sell stuff to a certain lady (and you must be persistant in selling one item to her). Hope I didn't get you too confused.
