Maybe Peter Sissons only heard of the news a few seconds before going to air, and hence couldn't change his tie?

Some people really have far too much time on their hands, if they want to send letters like that. (On the other hand, I obviously have too much time on my hands if I'm writing a post about people who have too much time on their hands.) I'd have thought that more letters would be about Mr. Sissons' atrocious news presenting. It pretty much turned into a game of "pass the buck to the special guest who is our guest because he is an expert on royalty, i.e. he shook hands with the Queen once". The questions being asked were something along the lines of "So....[insert name of unfortunate newscaster or so-called royalty expert]....what do you think...the....royal...family....*searches around for even faintly interesting topic*....will...be....*gives up and goes for the easy option* THINKING at this moment?" I mean, for goodness' sake! Can't they simply give the viewer all the currently known facts and go away? I mean, even if they returned to normal programming, they could maybe scroll any new information across the screen every so often. They didn't appear to have any qualms about shoving adverts for their new digital channel into prime-time viewing.
