FQ help with jeweled dagger

ok, Im stuck.

my inventory is:
Sack
Rope
Branch
Silver Key
Gold Key
Sword
Shovel
Scroll
Hammer
Nails
Bow
Arrow
Fishing Pole
Club
Ticket
Pass Ring
Sunstone

Ive been over the flaming bridge just fine. cant get past the big guard on the other end.
Ive been in the southeast building, on the 2nd floor but have not found any objects in the tower.
I toss m rope all i want but i feel it would work a tad better if it had a hook of some kind.

Ive heard tale of a jeweled dagger, perhaps this will help me, but where is the silly thing?

If there is an object in the 1st or 2nd floors of the SE tower, i cant find it, and ive bounced around in there on all the options for a long long time.
