There are a couple of factors that you should pay attention to: the description of how much of an advantage Jean-Claude is at in the fight (has your last move put him off-balance or not?) and which weapons you have. There are actually only 6 different states you can be in -- I think this fight is considerably less complex than two of the ones in GOAT.

At one step, you'll need to ignore your gut instinct to *immediately* recover a weapon that you lose. I designed the puzzle to be a bit tricky in that regard.
