Story Hunt 2:5 and 4:12

Wow. I never thought I would be posting here with a hint request. Of course, I probably would have forgotten to even finish playing the Story Hunt games if it weren't for this board.

I can't even figure out where to start on the clues to move from 2:5 to 2:6 and 4:12 to 4:13. A slight nudge is all I need, I expect.
