Wait, yes you are. There's one place you need to check out. Make a map, and then search around in the just west of southeastern corner, and you should find something. In one of those places, there is an item that you'll need.

The jeweled dagger is not to be found in the white tower. It's in a place that asks for a password thatyou get from a man who doesn't talk to you.
