Trail Of Anguish, Nerds and Keys

OKay, 2 questions, One which I need a very specific hint to, and the other I need a yes or no answer, and, depending on the answer to the question, a very specific hint on that one as well.

Question 1, for the trip to Acalpoco: I've gotten the nerds to follow me around, but when I get to Thorius, the jocks run my nerds off. I need a very specific hint to get me across the lounge.

Question #2, for the all expenses paid three week vacation to Akumos space station (which shows how much I've played THAT game): Do I need to wait for the Naluz key store to open to get Prof Stefanson's mail, yes or no? and if I do not, can I get a very specific hint on how I get a spare key, and/or, another key?

I suspect the two are related, but I can't prove it.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
