i am stuck trying to find something to secure the blanket with. i am now back in the village of boredom looking for it. any advice please?

i have:

20 Bronze Coins
Guard's Sword
Rope
Wire Clippers
Blanket

8 Red Gemstones
Stone of Strengthening
Tinderbox
Clear Focus Stone
Map

1 Black Gemstone
Food Rations
Sticks
Hammer
Picture

plus i locked the idiots door earlier and now i don't have the key. is that a problem?
