GOA, near beginning ..HELP!!!!

I have:

382 coins
diving mask
broken sword
pick
ticket
key of questioning
life preserver
stone of strengthening
food rations
dead fish
rope
bucket

now I am stuck, can't go beyond forest, think I
need armour of some sort..382 coins, do I need
more? if so where do I get it..what is my next
move, please someone H
