The lady was talking back to her, and the employee eventually got sick of it and told her to cool down and not get so irriatated over the little stuff. It shut her up pretty quick and wasn't even reported. :-)

Hmm, this reminds me of going to buy a new pair of shoes. It was in a big department store. There was a girl serving the man in front of me. He was acting in a very peremptory fashion and the girl was having a hard time of it trying to serve him to his satisfaction. She was being very accomodating until eventually he said, "well, I just don't think this is good enough!" and walked off not having bought anything. The girl went off and I sat and tried on a few shoes and waited till she returned. She looked at me and smiled and I smiled back and said, "Don't worry about him, you get idiots like that all the time, unfortunately". This seemed to cheer her up, but she then mentioned he'd put in a complaint about poor service. She also said she was only on work experience and not even out of school yet. What this man had done annoyed me and I thought, "He's not gonna get away with it." Having got my new shoes (with her admirable help) I went straight to customer services and told them about my excellent service, adding that I had witnessed the previous customer and what I thought of his attitude and how helpful the girl had tried to be to him. To this day I don't know what, if anything, ever came of his complaint and my rebuttal, but it was worth doing just to try and defeat some petty small-mindedness.
