I have to agree wholehartedly. While this was the greatest tragedy of my lifetime, and hopefully there will never be another like it, it would be awful for us to go against our own principles. If we should do so, we become just like Germany before WWII, and while it seems like there should be some actions taken, laying blame at entire groups of millions of people is not the answer. Did anyone else realize that people had been doing so before 2 hours had passed since the incident? I had been listening to the radio live as it happend (I suppose not exaclty live, but as soon as anyone knew about the crashes) and continued listening. In short, the U.S. seems unsurprisingly short of intelligence right now, jumping on snap reactions. We don't (I speak for me and my friends) want a war, a draft, or anything else, but our president (Bush...) seems to go on these snap judgements, and frankly, I'm afraid just as much of what we might do as what happened to us.
