 Sam, I finally decided that I didn't care what my
 coworkers thought, so I tried this with a big
 glass of water with crushed ice in it. It didn't
 work very well. The water rotated with me
 unless I kicked off with a good shove, and
 even then it only remained stationary for a few
 seconds before it began to rotate with me.
 
 Do you think it's the floating ice makes the
 difference? Or is water just  unsuitable for this
 procedure? I'll still have to try this at home with
 hot chocolate or coffee.
