NEA could be the National Education Association, an organization that I belong to for life, or it could be the National Endowment for the Arts.
IRA is your own personal retirement account, or the Irish Republican Army.
TNT is an explosive, or Ted Turners TV network.
Sometimes we forget what the letters stand for. Most people don't even care about the chemical name of TNT, STP, or DDT.
I think acronyms are confusing and we should get rid of them PDQ.
