> The united states of america was founded under the immigration of peoples from all parts of the world. It was established that this land was the freedom people sought and the land of opportunity. Today we kill at our borders to keep from illegal immigrants from coming over, we pay taxes to support the deportation of immigrants. We favor not to allow immigrants, even legal ones to come into our country. I need a standing. I personally believe that the united states should be free to any person coming over without over exhausting requirements used to dissuade or dismiss them from any attempts or opportunities of becoming a citizen. Since even my family was immigrants from poland, who gained citizenship rather easily "ship" in the later 1800's. Where do you stand?

Why did I bring this up? Fellow workers and I were debating different things, I brought up immegration and the death penalty. I just see both as ironic.

Death penalty: If a killer kills and that is wrong, what makes the state rightous to kill him as a penalty or as an excuse to keep him away from society. We kill him in punishment for killing, ummm, sure... ok.

Immegration: land of opportunity is a nice phrase and it originated from the fact that this country thrived from numorous cultures from around the world immigrating to the states. Also from the land that U.S. acquired. Now, we lower ourselves to the level of other pure countries, by building that border patrol.

First, there comes alot of violence at the border due to the situation that US created to keep immegrants from coming in. I overdid the gunning down and killing- that is the drug wars.

Second, our restrictions and requirements are exhausting their effort and opportunity to be in such a country as ours.

Third, continuing to do so, the U.S.A. will become just another U.S.S.R in the breaking.
(I could be wrong on this statement)

Americans who may respond to this will say that these are different times, but I will say that times shouldn't seperate the fact that this country is multicultured and is what it is because of that fact.

Also, this country is land of the free, land of opportunity, an option for those who need that natural right in life to enjoy. We "americans" feel that it is ours and should only be ours since we are natural citizens. Well, consider your ancestors came into this country almost like that mexican today in search for that life and opportunity for his future generations of family. If this country has always been the way we are today, you may have been born far away from the U.S. or not even born at all.

Then it's obvious that we pay taxes for the border patrol, but what isn't is that even the people who disagree with the proceedings are paying that same taxes.
