I live in Dayton, OH, home of Wright Patterson Air Force Base, which is so big it's actually its own community within our larger one. It's not NORAD or anything, but I think WPAFB is a pretty important military establishment.

Back when I was growing up in Rock Island, Illinios, word on the schoolyard was we were #17 on the list of cities to get bombed because of the Rock Island Arsenal.
