Dream House?

So I was reading ugh, ugh, and double ugh and it started to remind me of my dreams as a kid to own and design a dream house. As a matter, I would beg my parents to take me out looking at new houses, just so I can run around exploring it and smelling the newness that surrounded it. In my neighborhood they would be developing different houses, I would refer to it as the new subdivision. My friends and I would continously search them, play in them and even chill in them prior to them being fully built. Considering my neighborhood was heavily wooded, houses with no fences, space in between houses- as a kid we would have trails going everywhere. Total freedom and adventure led us to discover an old farmhouse hidden way back about a half mile behind my backyard. Nobody, as it seemed was aware of this house. There were signitures saying "nick was here" etc from the 70's and 80's. Old phonebooks and furniture from the 60's gave us a story of what happened for it to be left undiscovered and abandoned. Also as a kid my neighborhood was full of oddly developed houses, from a botanist who had two stories of plated glass in his entire front side of his house to the earth home on the otherside designed with a 20'by 20' diamond shaped glass at the spear point of the house. Over the time I grew up with all these observations etc.- I slowly developed a need to design and landscape my own house no matter what. I even went as far as to look up actual treehouses to live in in high school. I know that everyone here has some type of wants when it comes to dream house. So really how many of you really live in a house of your dreams? I've thought about everything from design to color. Yet, I still have to develop an idea of my real dream house I will one day have. One thing I seriously don't like is a large house, something that is larger than my life really needs. I know that even the weirdest designs can be fun and interesting. So if you have any go ahead and share them here. I'm willing to learn. Soon enough I would like to design my house and plot out my property. Property, need alot of it in the right place. danny;)
