Hehe. I'm--fortunately--blessed with renting equipment and software (really cheap!) from a newspaper/publisher who stays very well updated on software.
But a tip: Make sure they've upgraded to Photoshop 6.0.1 and Illustrator 9.0.1 -- they fix a number of bugs I found extremely annoying. The Photoshop update is fairly new, so they might not have gotten around to it yet.
