In 1960 my teeth were in terrible shape as the result of starving through college. I had to choose between dental care and food. When I began to bring home what was jokingly called a "salary," I went to a denist who filled six teeth and pulled five. The total bill for three visits was $47. (I am not making this up.)More recently, with dental insurance, I went to a denist and the bill was more than that before I got my mouth open. My "deductable" was more than $50.
Now they have invented "burial insurance." I'm in no hurry to find out the truth about that.
