> On the subject of depression, I noticed that a lot of people here have depression problems... I wonder if that is a typical sampling of our society, or if it is RinkWorks related? I imagine the former, although it could be the latter-- I find RinkWorks is a wonderful place for therapy for me when I am down...

Every single close friend I have has a serious problem with depression or bipolar disorders. I've known people who were healthy, but we never really connected. My sense of humor seems to be understood and appreciated only by people as unbalanced as I am. Maybe the friendships develop because people with these diseases, when seeing the symptoms in other people, are more likely to understand and not think "that Jessica girl--she's a freak!" I don't throw fits or anything, but people somehow still know I think and feel differently from the norm. My mother, a psychologist, claims that people with high IQ's are more likely to have a chemical imbalance. Hehe--I don't know if that's true...but hey, why not?
